Brows are maybe that one element on your face that defines your expression, emphasizes your bone structure and brings balance to all your features. The fuller they are, the younger you look. Yep, totally. Despite the fact that all the fashion magazines displayed and promoted models with that thick brow look, I still see a lot of young girls with damaged eyebrows. And I say “damaged”, because in some cases the hairs never grow back the way they were, leaving gaps and a super thin, sparse look. In these cases the best option is to fill them in and there are plenty of products on the market, that can give a very natural result and enhance texture. The least preferred option is microblading, just because it can look quite good initially, but after a few months the pigments may change in contact with the skin, giving you a totally artificial look.
Regarding tweezing, my approach is minimal, I only take a few hairs to clean the shape of the brow, rather than change it drastically. With trimming I do the same, my clients know that I’m only going to trim millimeters from the tale of the brow, just to look neat. I never trim in the front of the brow, because I want to keep that effortless look, that’s youthful and stylish. Tweezing once a month, or in some cases once a month and a half, is more than enough, as you need to leave some time for hair regrowth. My current favorite tweezers are Tweezerman and Rubis, I chose them because they’re top quality, super precise and easy to use.
Below you have a brow chart with the golden ratio, which shows where the brow starts, where it ends and where’s the peak of the arch. This is universal and appropriate for everyone. Hope this article helped you realize the importance of a thick, well proportioned brow and if you have questions I’d be glad to answer.
